PowerBar
PowerBar is an American company making energy bars and other products like sport drinks and gel based food stuff for distance athletes. The company was co-founded by Brian Maxwell and his wife, Jennifer, in 1986. Maxwell, himself was an Olympic marathon runner. The Berkley based company, grew to be an empire with $150 million sales and 300 employees. PowerBar company was purchased by Nestle SA in March 2000 for a reported sum of $375 millions.
